The practice will be focused and intense. Green Team The green team is designed for new wrestlers and athletes who are looking for an introduction to the sport of wrestling. The green team will teach new wrestlers the fundamentals in a fun and interactive learning environment. |

2009 Special Events Grand Valley Clinic Rick Bolhuis and GVSU wrestlers will put on a clinic for our wrestlers. Date: Thur April 2nd Time: 6:00pm Cost: Free To Members Where: Kids Club Training Facility Michigan Xtreme Clinic The Michigan Xtreme coaching staff will put on a clinic for the Jenison Wrestling Kids Club. Date: Friday March 27 Time: 6:00 - 8:00pm Cost: Free To Members Where: Kids Club Training Facility Jenison vs Sparta Duals The Kids Club will face off in a team dual competition vs. the Sparta Youth Program. Following the team dual there will be a Michigan Xtreme Clinic. Participation in the duals is free and highly encouraged...the Xtreme clinic is $20.00. Dates: Feb 6, 13, 20 & 27 - March, 6 Time: 6:00 - 7:00pm Cost: Free To All - (Every One Welcome) Non-Members Need To Fill Out A Waiver Where: Kids Club Training Facility Guest Wrestler Policy All wrestlers are welcome to visit us as guest wrestlers up to three times per season with out actually joining the club. Guest wrestlers need to see Cystal Morse at the head table before each practice to fill out a waiver. Pre-Season Open Mats Pre-season youth open mats are being held every Tuesday & Thursday at 5:30 in the Jenison wrestling room. There will be no open mats Christmas Day or New Years Day. |
Welcome to the Jenison Wrestling Kids Club website. The Jenison Wrestling Kids Club is a youth wrestling organization structured for wrestler's eighth grade and under. The 2009 season will be the Kids Club fourth year in existence and we have been growing every year. This season the Kids Club has added a private training facility, traveling dual teams, and more coaches. |
News Brycin Alexander National Finalist! Brycin Alexander is having a great post-season with a 5th place finish at the MYWAY State Finals and a recent 2nd place finish at the NUWAY Nationals. This is the second season in a row that Brycin has concluded his season with all-american honors...last season Brcyin finished in fifth place at NUWAY Nationals. Brycin has been spotted recently working out in the off season at the Edge Takedowon Club. Brycin Alexander & Alec Freeman All-State! Brycin Alexander and Alec Freeman returned from the MYWAY State finals with all-state honors. Brycin finsihed fith and Alec finished third in what has become one of the toughest youth wrestling organizations in the country. Congratulations To Our State Qualifiers! The Jenison Wrestling Kids Club had five MYWAY State Qualifiers. Mikey Rose, Brodey Falbe, Mitch Morse, Brycin Alexander and Alec Freeman all qualified for the MYWAY State Finals. These guys have worked hard all season to compete against some of the best competition in Michigan. College Coaches In The Room Both Rick Bolhuis the Head Coach of Grand Valley State University and Pat Witcomb the Head Coach of North Idaho College visited the Kids Club this season. Having college coaches visit our program is a huge step toward developing our program into something special. Coach Bolhuis will be in the room April 2nd with some of the GVSU wrestlers to do an extra clinic for our team. Video Library The Jenison Kids Club has started a technique video library and we have over sixty DVD's with some great technique demonstration for our members to enjoy at home. Wrestlers can sign-out a video at practice and learn new technique at home. Team Duals The Kids Club will square off against the Sparta Youth Program in a team dual competition. Check out the team dual section of this website for more info. Youth dual competition opportunities are growing in Michigan and we want to be part of it. We want to have our wrestlers experience wrestling as a team for a team in dual competition. |
